Grown and packaged at Tenuta Colombara, in the heart of the Vercelli rice fields. Riso Acquerello is the first Carnaroli rice aged in Italy, the only one replenished with its bud, the most nutritious part of rice.

After harvest, the rice is aged for at least 1 year in refrigerated silos.

Then refined in a slow and delicate way with the propeller, a process invented in 1884 and today used only by the Rondolino family.

With experience comes the intuition: the grains are replenished with their bud, which contains all the most precious nutritional substances, those vitamins and minerals contained only in brown rice. An idea protected by an international patent.

Acquerello is the arrival point of rice, thanks to its more nutritious, firm and tasty grains: a perfect cooking resistance, an optimal absorption of the seasonings and a versatility that makes it suitable for any type of recipe, preserving all the characteristics of the rice.
